To regulate and monitor all business establishments operating in the Municipality of Diffun to ensure their compliance with applicable laws, standards, issuances, laws and regulation.

MISSION:
To maintain an effective Revenue Generation Program, take custody and exercise proper management of local government funds, to ensure an effective and efficient disposition of government monies and to deliver quality treasury service.

VISION:
To become an effective partner in the attainment of progress and financial stability of the Municipality of Diffun.

FUNCTIONAL STATEMENT
1. Collect local taxes and other sources of revenues as provided for under Book II of the Local Government Code of 1991 ( R.A. 7160);
2. Take charge of disbursements of all municipal and funds entrusted to him by law or competent authority;
3. Advise the governor or mayor, as the case may be, the sanggunian, and other local government and national officials concerned regarding disposition of local government funds relative to public finance ( Sec.470 (d) (1) LGC, including amendments to local tax ordinances, identification of fiscal modalities, developmentof debt management strategies, identification of investment opportunities and others;
4. Take custody and exercise proper management of the funds of the local government unit concerned, including effective cash flow forecasting, analysis of liquidity position and management of surplus cash positions;
5. Take charge of the disbursement of all government funds and such other funds the custody of which may be entrusted to him by law or other competent authority to ensure an effective and efficient management of disbursement levels;
6. Inspect private commercial and industrial establishments within the jurisdiction of the local government unit concerned in relation to the implementation of tax ordinances, pursuant to the provisions under Book II of the Local Government Code of 1991;
7. Maintain and update the tax information system of the local government unit
8. Custody and requisition of accountable forms.
9. Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be prescribed by law or ordinance. (Sec.470 (e LGC)..

PROGRAMS AND ACTIVITIES:
1. Preparation of the Real Property Tax Order of Payment of 33 barangays with computation of taxes.
2. Dissemination of Notice of Real Property Tax Delinquencies to all delinquent taxpayers of the municipality.
3. Collection of Delinquent Business taxes and stall rentals at the public market together with notice of Delinquency.
4. Calibration , Sealing, Testing of Weights and Measure at the public market
5. Maintenance of Proper Sectioning of Goods at the Public Market
6. Posting of Streamers, Tarpaulin of RPT, CTC AND BT, and Franchising of Motorized Tricycle
7. Collection of Sales of Piglets, Seedlings, Bio-Compost, Vermicast, and Vegetables from the Demo Farm.
8. Tax campaign / tax information drive in the 33 barangays
9. Branding of Large Cattle
10. House To House Tax Campaign on the Distribution of Warrant Of Levy from PTO.
